My Obsession with paper straws started back with this post, and since then I've stocked up on these 3 great colors offered by Kikkerland. Aren't they fabulous?! They are the perfect way to make any drink fun and festive...or you can just display them in an Old-fashioned Straw Dispenser or glass cup on your counter top for a little stripey love in your kitchen.
For this little post I decided to test out the new "Blog It" tool available through Typepad. (I like it pretty well, although I still had to add the image in by hand. I'm not sure if this was because of the "Blog It" tool or because of Paper Source.) In any case...I am newly obsessed with this wonderful French date book from Paper Source. It's currently on the top of my wish list for gifts to give myself this holiday. : )
Oh.. and did you know you can now "Favorite" posts here on Creature Comforts?! Just scroll down to the bottom of each post and click the button that says "Favorite." Once you click it a little email shows up in my inbox notifying me that someone favorited a post. These new one-of-a-kind Owl Plushies from Night Owl Paper Goods are the cutest thing! I would like a whole flock of them perched on my shelves. My favorite (pictured) already sold (boo-whooo), but there are lots more to choose from. Lucky us!

This Dirt Poster by Roland Tiangco (via Little Bits & Blogs) is pure genius. While removing the poster from it's envelope the recipient's hands become smudged, and as the unfolded poster is handled, the following text appears: "The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty."
If you love the Dirt Poster, than be sure to also checkout Roland's project Life:size... A book that opens up to reveal cleverly printed and folded pages, that when properly unfolded reveals a lifesized bookcase full of books. So brilliant!

A couple of weeks ago we (Marichelle, Melissa, and I) headed into New York City for the International Gift Fair (where we met up with Cassie, Laurel and Jennifer - my first time meeting these lovely ladies). There were so many wonderful things to look at and drool over...and we walked around in a happy daze all day until our feet were about to fall off. The only think I ended up bringing home with me though was this adorable print from Yee-Haw Industries. One of the huge selling points (besides how friendly Kevin and Julie were and how sweet their prints are, was the awesome letterpressed mat that came with the print. Anyhow... I just discovered that you can pick up their "Letterpressed Art Vignettes" at the Curiosity Shoppe. Hurray! They are affordably priced from $5 - $7. Time to stock up! xo Ez
When I came across this Gems T-Shirt by Print Liberation a few weeks ago, I was immediately reminded of road trips taken with my mom and sister when I was young. Winding through the mountains of Montana we would always find a place to stop for a quick rest at one of the many tiny rock shops along the roadside. If my sister and I had been behaving ourselves in the backseat we'd be treated to a shiny little stone of our choosing (which we would then lovingly added to our rock collection once we returned home again). We so looked forward to those pretty little gems...anything turquoise or blue being my first choice (of course).
All of this is to say that I adore this shirt and the days long-past that it reminds me of. Available on the Print Liberation official site and etsy store.
I just spotted Susy's new 2010 Deluxe Wall Calendar (pre-order) the other day and was instantly smitten. The colors and motifs she's used this season are perfection...and as each month passes, you could easly just snip off the numbered section and continue to hang each page as a piece art! Love it!
